3/ Where is Baoussala located?

We are 9km from Essaouira, (7km of national road and 3km of freshly paved road but still under construction!), at the end of the Berber village of Ghazoua, i.e. 10 to 12 minutes by car from the beaches of Essaouira and those of Sidi Kaouki, (beautiful wild beaches in the south of Essaouira), we therefore recommend a rental car.

4/ How long does it take to go to the beach from Baoussala?

We are 10 minutes by car from the beaches (to the south the wild beach of Sidi Kaouki, to the north: the bay of Essaouira).

5/ Can we rent a car?

We encourage you to rent a car for your stay in Baoussala, this will give you a lot of freedom to visit our beautiful region and go to the wild beaches. Berber markets and crisscross the surrounding countryside. A rental car can be delivered to you upon your arrival at Essaouira airport or to your home whenever you wish. The price is 300 dirhams per day for a Dacia Logan. It's a basic car, but quite sufficient for our home!

6/Can we reserve a car seat (rental car and/or taxi transfer)

Car seats are still not obligatory here in Morocco! We can of course reserve one for your car rental or taxi transfer, however we draw your attention to the fact that the car seats we find here are very often of poor quality. We strongly encourage you to take your seats with you from Europe. The majority of airlines agree to put them in the hold free of charge.

7/ Do you need a visa to come to Morocco

No, a visa is not required to come to Morocco, however you will be asked for a valid passport (as well as for your children), an identity card is not enough, because we are not in Europe!

8/ Can we contact you by Whatapp?

9/ how to book?

Reservations are made on our website www.baoussala.com . It's very simple and secure.

10/ If I book now do I have to pay for the entire trip?

If the start of your stay is less than six months away, your bank card will only serve as a guarantee, and nothing will be charged.

If the start of your stay is within the bus+ of six months, 30% deposit will be taken from your bank card, as a guarantee. You will pay the balance of your stay on site in cash (euro or dirham) or by card (+2.5% local taxes for credit card payments).

PROGRESS OF STAY

11/ Our plane arrives very early in Essaouira? From what time can we arrive in Baoussala?

No worries, we are used to this kind of constraint, you can arrive whenever you want, we will serve you a good breakfast in the sun! Your room may not be ready before 2 p.m., but you can relax by the pool and have lunch from 12:30 p.m.

12/ Our flight leaves very late, until what time can we stay on the last day?

No worries, we are used to this kind of constraint, we will ask you to vacate the room around noon, but you can definitely wait at the swimming pool or in the gardens to enjoy your vacation until the end!

13/ Do you have travel cots?

Yes, we have 4 travel cots in Baoussala that we put at your disposal in your room, please let us know in your reservation. We also have a high chair.

14/ What infrastructure do you offer for children

Baoussala is a paradise for little ones, they love the heated swimming pool, but the space, the forest, nature, the turtle garden, our two Golden retrievers and the trampoline also delight the youngest!

We also have an artists' studio where children can create (creation supplies are not provided).

We have a list of around twenty board games for them too.

15/ Is it possible to bring a babysitter?

Of course, it costs €15 for half a day or an evening.

16/ Will we be able to make machines during our stay?

We send your laundry to the dry cleaners, you give it to us in the evening, it leaves the next morning and returns the next day around noon. The price is 50dh for the 1st KG, then 30dh per additional kg.

17/ Do you lend pool towels?

Yes, we provide pool towels. No need to burden yourself!

18/ Do you have parking?

You can park your vehicle in front of the entrance to Baoussala. It's public domain, but it's safe and we have surveillance cameras.

19/ Is there air conditioning in the rooms?

No, Baoussala is not an air-conditioned house, in fact, we don't need it! The traditionally built house has thick stone walls and guarantees a certain coolness during the hottest months of the year. Moreover, in summer, the trade winds protect us from the extreme heat on the coast!

20/ Is there heating in the rooms in winter

Yes, all our rooms are equipped with gas or electric heating as well as in the bathrooms. Each room also has a fireplace that we prepare every day for your greatest pleasure: there's nothing like falling asleep with a good fire!

REGULATIONS

21/ Can we pay by credit card?

Yes, we accept payment by credit card, VISA, Mastercard, diners club. However, we do not accept payments by American Express.

Payments by international card (other than Moroccan) are subject to a tax of 2.5% to be added to the amount.

22/ What is your cancellation policy?

- from the reservation date to D-31: 30% of the stay

- from D-30 to D-7: 50% of the stay

- from D-7 to the arrival date: 100% of the stay

 We advise you to take out travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation. You can choose to take out cancellation insurance by making your reservation on our site.

23/ Is there a tourist tax?

Yes, there is a tourist tax of €2.50 per night per person from 12 years old. This tax is not included in the room rate.

RESTORATION

24/ Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is included in the room rate. We serve it from 8:30 a.m. with no time limit.

25/ Do you offer dinners?

Yes, every evening we offer you a ""starter, main course and dessert"" menu for the evening dinner. We need to know before noon if you will be dining there in the evening. The price is €27 for the 3-course formula or €23 for the 2-course formula. The price for children depends on their age: free up to two years old, then 3 years old = €3, 4 years old = €4 etc. up to 12 years old.

Dinners are served, depending on the season, either in the lounge by the fire or on the patio by candlelight in summer. Fati prepares delicious traditional cuisine, with local products purchased at the market and always adapts to your tastes.

26/ Can we have lunch at midday?

We serve lunch every day by the pool, we have a menu with varied dishes, salads, grilled meats, burgers, Carpaccios, etc. dishes, ranging from €7 to €12. We also offer a children's menu for €7.

27/ Do I need to reserve in advance for meals?

For evening dinners, we must know every day before noon whether you will dine there or not. For poolside lunches, we do not need to know in advance if you will have lunch here.

28/ We are going to come to Essaouira on vacation and we would like to come for dinner or enjoy a poolside lunch, is this possible?

We will be delighted to welcome you for a poolside lunch or dinner in Baoussala, and show you around the place. However, prior reservation is required. During high season (school holidays). We may not have room to accommodate you. We invite you to contact us by telephone on 06 06 06 88 85.

The price of swimming pool and lunch access is 230dh/adult and 100dh per child up to 12 years old.

29/ Will we be able to access the kitchen to cook?

Baoussala is a hotel and we offer a permanent hotel service. You will not be able to cook yourself. On the other hand, Fati, our cook is always delighted to share with you her secrets of Moroccan cuisine

30/ Will we be able to store baby food or medicine in the fridge

Yes, of course, you can definitely store what you need in the fridge in the main kitchen.

31/ Can you prepare homemade purees for my baby

Of course, with great pleasure, this will require a little communication between the girls of our team and yourself, and they will be able to prepare small purees or compotes for your little one.

PRIVATIZATION AND EVENTS

32/ Can Baoussala be privatized for an event?

Baoussala is an incredible place for an intimate event (wedding, birthday, team building, etc.) In case of privatization, we ask for a minimum of three nights, the event taking place on D2. For weddings we only do one parent, please contact us for more info on this.

33/ Can we privatize Baoussala for a family stay?

Baoussala, perhaps a privileged place to bring together your whole family, however during school holidays. You have to do it well in advance. Please contact us for a more precise quote.

ACTIVITIES

34/ Can we rent bikes?

There are very few bike rental providers in Essaouira. We are located in the Moroccan countryside, very few roads are currently paved. Cycling on the slopes remains a bit complicated. We do not prefer to recommend this means of transport to you.

35/ Do you organize yoga or sports classes?

Our sports coach, Abdel takes care of your fitness, during your stay in Baoussala, he comes at your request for private or semi-private lessons in Yoga, pilates, cardioboxing, stretching, muscle strengthening...he adapts to your level and adapts to your request (more information and prices here ). It is recommended to book sports sessions with Abdel before your arrival, as he also works in other locations, to ensure his availability, it is better to do so a little in advance!

36/ Do you have a Spa?

We have a Hammam, access is free and free for you to relax, and if you want a scrub you must make an appointment. Bouchra our masseuse provides good massages and salon treatments, at a very reasonable price. Count €34 for a one-hour massage.

37/ How does the Baoussala outdoor cinema work?

The Baoussala outdoor cinema is operational from the end of May to the end of September. During the summer school holidays, we offer two sessions per week, Monday and Thursday evening. The session starts at 9 p.m. We have a list of films and cartoons for all audiences.

Outside of school holidays, we can organize a cinema screening for you at your request.

38/ What activities are possible?

Every day we tell you the activities that you can do in the region: horseback or camel rides, quad biking, surfing, kitesurfing, visits to the medina and country souks... We are here to help you enjoy fully enjoyed your stay!
